Backstory...
My car has been running fine previously, i decided to replace some shifter bushings, and after completing this I started up the car and noticed i blew a fuse for my parking lights. I replaced with larger fuse unknowingly and burnt through the reverse wire. Problem was that it grounded out in the transmission tunnel because it wasn't properly plumed through the hole on the shifter rubber boot, and was being rubbed against the edge of the body of the car. I left my lights off, started the car and parked it until I could rewire the reverse switch. Fast forward to fixing the burnt wire and my car doesn't start.
So my question for help is: what triggers the fuel pump and spark in the ignition? The fuel pump was replaced with a TRE fuel pump mid 2010.
The car cranks over but it doesn't start. I checked the fuses in the fuse box and they checked out fine, but just now figured out where the actual fuel pump relay is, under the harness cover near the ICV . I will check that asap, and update. But still want to ask for help.
I pulled up the back seat and checked my fuel pump with a voltmeter. And the results were that the pump isn't getting power to it.
What should I be checking/what could be the problem?
*Update*
I swapped around all of the relays under the harness cover. And nothing changed.
I removed my intake boot and squirted gas into the throttle body while cranking and nothing.
I also popped out one of my coils and spark plugs (I'm running a COP kit) and cranked the motor and it seems Im getting no spark.
*Update #2*
My throttle position sensor wires were brittle and cracked, only one wire of the three was connected, I replaced the clip and the car started, after about a 60 hr work week, I finally had time to do this simple thing.
Woooooh....:drink: celebrate driving again!
