    Fan Shroud Removal

I was reading a how-to for replacing water pump and first step is to remove the fan shroud by unclipping it and pulling it up. The fan blocks it from being pulled up, in fact I saw no way to remove it without first removing the fan.

    Is there something I'm missing?

Just sort of squeeze the shroud to distort it enough to get it by the fan. A little force, take care not to damage the radiator core, and you should be okay.

I've removed mine a couple times. It's easy to do, just kinda bend/angle it around the fan. I'm not sure of the exact process, but I would have remembered if it took more than a couple minutes.

Thanks for clearing that up. I mostly didn't want to damage the fan blades.
