Originally when I got the car, the car had a code for the maf. Now I keep getting 1214 which apparently is not a code.
The car would shutter like crap at 3.5k when it was colder, sometimes when it was heated up the car would shutter and miss at 4.5k or 5k. Rarely, the car would pull to redline fine.
The other day, I was sitting on the highway making a left turn, and the car stalled. It would not start, and then when I pushed it off the highway and cranked it started back up.
Today, the same thing happened. I unplugged the afm, and the car ran, but if it "idled" it would die out. Drove the car about 3 miles, parked it.
After working on my e30, went to leave, and the car will not stay running. With afm plugged in or not, the car fires, then instantly dies.
What I am thinking of, is the car must have fuel and spark, since she starts up. She stalls out immediately, possibly due to over leanness. Almost like a vacuum leak kind of idea, I think that the afm is reading incorrectly, and the car just stalls from reading too much air coming in. With the gas pinned and cranking, nothing helps getting it to rev up once she fires.
