    m42 bogging out

    I have a 91 318is.if I drive the car and let it get up to operating temp then shut it off for a few minutes when I start out again it will bog out.after it does for like 2 seconds the problem goes away.i have replaced and checked vac hoses .that seemed to help a little but I still have a problem.can anyone help me with this thanks.

    Please, if you want help with something do make sure others can read and comprehend what you wrote quickly and easily.

    Could be a coolant temp sensor, a sticky MAF, a dirty ICV. But, it seems more likely that it's a vac hose that gets hot, expands and does not seal correctly (which would negate the other options if idle recovers as you say).

    You are sure it does not have this problem at idle when cold?

      I had a bogging problem and it turned out to be my wires, when the car heated up it got worse. Try a different set. I have a feeling that's the problem.

        m42 fixed

        I replaced the coolant temp sencor seems to have fixed the proablem thanks for the help
