    engine swap taping loud

Bought a used engine from bavengine. Put all new fluids in, Started it up for the first time today and it taps really bad, ran for about 5 min and did not quiet at all so I shut it off. Is this something to be worried about our do you think it will quiet down after running for awhile. I'd be really pissed after all this work to have to rip it back out and try to get a replacment.

u should build oil pressure before starting a rebuild engine or engine thats been sitting long. You can do this by starting engine withouth spark plugs. Repeat this 2 - 3 times and then install spark plugs. Your engine is tapping because the chain tensioner and lifters arent lubricated. This should eventually go quieter as the engine warms.

Haven't had time until today to work on my car. Turned the key and it fired right up ran for little to bleed the coolant. The entire time it was spouting out smoke from the exhaust but I didn't think anything of it becausei figured it was just stuff burning off from being a used engine and probably stored for awhile. But while bleeding coolant it started coming out Brown from the bleeder so I shut off car and checked the oil and what do you know all foamy. I'm so furious right now all that time waiting on the engine and installing it just to have received a piece of shit. They better send me a new engine or refund me all my money

Good luck, have heard horror stories about em. Why not just buy an engine from a member?

I wanted to but ended up ordering one because it sounded like a good idea with the warranty and thought I would get an engine that was in good working order if they really did they tests to the engine they claimed on there website
