Well, yet another problem on the dysfunctional e30 today. I went to start it and it just cranked and cranked but would not turnover. i was surprised because i had it running yesterday. pulled the plugs and could not smell gas and they were dry. I DO have spark but no fuel. i pulled out a jumper wire and jumped 30 to 87 on the Fuel Pump relay. Nothing, no sound at all. What should i do next? think my pump gave up the ghost? can i check for power at the pump itself?

If you suspect the pump has packed it up you can pull a hose off of the inlet side of the fuel filter and check if it's pumping at all. You should of course put the hose in a bottle or something similar to contain the fuel spray. -
I will do that. just wanna make sure its not some sort of sensor or DME causing no fuel. BTW i think you have contributed to almost every thread i have started, thanks for all the help!Comment
