    Fuel Leak

    Morning,

A couple months ago I noticed a fuel leak from here:

I replaced the rubber hoses and I was having no issues until this weekend. I started my car on Saturday and noticed a strong fuel smell. When I looked under the car I saw fuel dripping from near the front driver side wheel.

I know there's some fuel rails that run along there, my question is if its likely that they were somehow damaged and now leaking? I also thought that there are rubber fuel hoses (situated under the brake fluid reservoir?) that connected the actual rails in the bay to the rails under the car, but I haven't had an opportunity to jack up the car and inspect anything.

Any ideas? Thanks for any help you all might have.

You answered your own questions. Jack up the car and inspect. Replace what is broken. Yes there are both rubber and metal lines in that area.

And remember that you need to use high pressure/fuel injection hose.

Yea that's what I was planning on doing. Just wanted to see if anyone had any input. Never hurts to ask!

Maybe you unseated an injector at an upper seal or over/under tightened a clamp. If you haven't done them you might as well do the seals and the lower rubber fuel hoses in the engine bay.

That's entirely possible. Thanks for the input I'll be sure to check that out.
