    Help! M42 Dumping Oil

Alright, so I just finished my turbo build. I took off the head, had it degreased, installed new headgasket, profile gasket, timing case gaskets, etc. Put it all back together. Small leaks here and there, I fixed a couple, there's what appears to be some seepage from the valve cover on the bottom right when looking at the cover. I was pissed. But whatever. That was the only oil leak.

Then I take it to my uncle's (this is when I assume I started having problems). I scraped on his driveway pretty good. Thankfully it wasn't the oil pan. It was the exhaust. Right after the downpipe. Pretty sure that ever since then I've had an enormous oil leak. The intake manifold looks wet by injector #1.

It smells like fuel, but that could be because in removing the high pressure fuel line last week it sprayed fuel all over the IM. All the injectors appear to be seated properly. Oil is practically everywhere on the bottom of the engine, so it's a bit hard to trace.

I cranked the oil pressure sending unit on further, because I believe it to have been possibly leaking a bit.

I'm at a loss for what could possibly be spraying oil in such a fashion in that area. Mind you, I haven't been driving the car hard at all. No WOT yet, or even close. Oil is definitely coming from the top of the driver's side of the engine, it runs all the way down and has puddles of it.

Oil filter gaskets are less than 2 years old.

Typically oil in that are under the oil pressure sensor is coming from the housing itself or the sensor fitting. Best bet is to clean it all up, then crank it up and try to spot where it's coming from

Might be coming from the oil filter cap. There is a crush washer under the hex on top of the cap, then the big o-ring under the cap and lastly a small o-ring on the end of the bolt (though this one wouldn't cause a leak).

Could always be the valve cover gasket.

How does your PCV vent tube look? No pinholes or rips right by the IM?

All of the oil filter housing's gaskets (well, specifically the cap o-ring, washers and o-rings for the hex bolt) get replaced with every oil filter change, and have less than 250 miles on them.

I'm not sure if the casing or sensor have suddenly cracked or come loose, but I'll check.

The valve cover gasket is probably 2 years old or so and doesn't look wet. The PCV lines and everything are all new.

The o ring "IN" the oil filter housing assemble that bolts to the block can dry out and cause big leaks against the block looking like it might be coming from you oil filter setup but actually it's leaking where the housing bolts to the block.
