code 1271 and warm starts

So ive been getting bouncy idle and horrible gas milage
Alitte oil leaks so i got to taking care of that, ive been getting code 1271 ignition coil 1 and so i got all new coils and the idle is great, nice and steady, much better then before, but i still get code 1271 and basically when the temp get past the blue line it stalls out.car runs fine when cold but dies when warmed up Why am i still gettig the same code? Ive had the battery unplugged al day so im guessing the code should ha e cleared?

UPDATE
I solved the problem apparently its quiete common but why the connector was plugged in the whole time with no issues i dont know..(link below)

Side note** i put all brand new coils but i still have code 1271 idle is smooth and steady, doesnt die anymore withthis connector unplugged. The spark plugs themselves are not new but i dont drive the car much at all and i put them in probably 5 months ago? Again its not driven daily and only on short trips out for no more than an hour. I pulled the plugs and they were fouled from running rich so i cleaned them and put them back and the idle issue i had (would oscilate between 9 and 1100) was nomore, but then it started to die on warm start. However i fixed that but it still got the code, doesnt smell as rich. I have a brand new 02sensor laying around i was gonna slap that in but 1271 is igintion coil 1. Is the harness/ecu fkd?i have a mark d chip should i toss the stock one in ? Or do the codes not clear by simply removing battery?
