Okay so before my car would run a 1/4 on the temp gauge. It would only overheat when I'm standing still, but once I drove again it cools down to 1/4. Recently my car over heats with just normal driving. It goes plenty pasted the middle. The only way it goes down is under hard acceleration

Check the fan clutch and coolant level. -
