Did you remove the old motor with the tranny? Or did you leave the tranny in there?

It's in the car and running, my build thread is at m42club.com. I just added the COP KIT from hqautosport and love it. Pic won't load right now. Will try to get a smaller one.
While there also a lot of challenges from running OBDII, I love having data steam capabilities.

Ever think of becoming a detective? It's a workmate's bike but it is a BMW r1200

Hoping for around 175 at the flywheel hence the 350.../2 post. Might need to save for ITB's to really open it up. I will be playing with e30 and e36 cam and intake manifold combinations to see what makes the best, most-usable power before dropping bank on ITB's, however.

If you were doing that set up NA, what do you think the HP would be? 160ish?

Cost is somewhere between 2k and $2,500. I did my own valve job and port work so add 400+ $$ for that. I milled the pistons as well. But that includes a $550 m44, with a cracked head I found out later, balancing everything and lightening the flywheel. The rest of the machine work, cam, m42 head, rings gaskets etc.
The tune will be extra. I spread it out over 2 years so the wife barely noticed. That and my current m42 just won't blow up.
