    Going from synthetic to Dino oil

    Right now i have synthetic 20w-50. i purchased castrol gtx 10w-40 dino oil. is it fine to go from synthetic to this?

    I think once you feed your engine Synthetic you should continue to do so. Plus dino oil promotes sludge build up.

    Not worth the few dollar saved on oil changes IMHO.

        Dino oil is dino oil.

        It still has irregularities in it. It's still not microscopic pieces of dead animal bones on it - it's still REAL oil. Anti build up just means they worked harder to filter it, and yea, it probably would not create too much buildup real soon - but synthetic NEVER WILL! :D

        It's worth it to me, anyway...hehe
