    Swapping My M42 For A M20b25

    hey guys i have a m20b25 that i wana drop in to my 318is......what needs to be done as in when it comes to the wiring......i need help with the wiring!!!!!!!! and is this a big task to do?

    unplug c101 plug, plug in new c101 plug. end/

        so i dont nedd to change the whole wiring of the car......so the plug of the m42 is the same as the m20

          yup. Actually, so is the plug on the e34 M30.

            Holy mother of god.

            I've been working on my m20/m42 conversion for weeks, and all I can say is "GET A COMPLETE ENGINE." before you start.

            (I actually got it to fire by spraying starting fluid into the TB. Hearing noise made it suck a little less.)
