    oil pan

i have a 318 i. there are no marks on the oil pan. is there any reason i should check to see if the oil pan is moved? can i look at it from underneath? if there are no markings, what are the chances that something is messed up? what vacuum line do i pull to seafoam it? thanks

Not trying to give you a hard time, in fact I'd like to help if I can. If you want to Sea Foam your crank case, lifters and so on...... just use the correct amount recommeded and pour it in as you would when adding oil.

If you want to Sea Foam the intake, valves, piston tops, etc..... Run it through the line coming off of the vacuum canister.

I doubt that your oil pan has moved if the bolts are installed correctly? The marks you are looking for on the oil pan can be viewed from underneath the car, if you tell us what these marks are in reference to, this would be bonus info.

i have read on m42 club that bolts in the oil pan come loose/ the oil pan is somehow shifted and causes the oil pickup to not be in 100% contact with the oil pump....is this bs or were the 3 or so threads on this bs
