    Dyno Results

So i got the chance to put my car on the dyno at school today, and i was quite impressed. my car is basically stock, with the exception of a pro formance ebay chip. it put down 128hp and 115 ft lbs. if i can figure out how to post a pdf file, i will post up the print out. i just thought it was pretty cool.

That's pretty good for a 318. Those must be fun cars.

      Thats really good.
Most ive ever seen is 119.
Mine only made 116 with a metric mechanics exhaut, Jim C chip and K&N drop in. Ive also got 180k but still 220 to 225 psi on all four and only 12% leak down.
Your motor must be in excellent shape or really young.

ya. the engine only has about 2k on a rebuild. plus the poly motor and trans mounts probably helped limit the drivetrain loss.

I am highly considering getting Poly engine mounts and tranny mounts.. hows the vibration.. ive heard its as bad as metal bushings but i highly doubt it.

I have OE tranny mounts and poly engine mounts on my turbo car. there is alittle more vibration, but its not bad at all. I can imagine a stock m42 is way smoother than my cammed m20 as well.

You would hope so! we do get these silly fluid filled engine mounts.. BMW really wanted to make 318is quiet little cars.

Alot of people think M42 mounts are really expensive..

hey nate, off topic, but the cams are done and the car runs. sounds like a stroker v8 at idle. hopefully i'll get a video up soon. i recommend getting the cams done by that guy in shingle springs.

Just injectors and the chip and you're at 160 at the wheels? No way.
