IE Poly Engine and Tranny Mounts

    Finally got my IE Poly Bushings in and so far my opinion of them is.. STIFF! Do not recommend for anyone who wants to drive a quiet car. I enjoy feeling the vibrations of my motor. I feel more in tune with it.

    Took my pics in the dark so they are crap. Hopefully i can get better pics of the finished product today when its more light out! Ill post a low quality teaser here

      You would have a LOT less vibrations with rubber tranny mounts... that's where you're getting most of it from.

        Yes I know, i had rubber ones before hand and i enjoy these alot more

        I can really feel the difference in neutral (can feel motor mounts) and in gear (can feel driveline and tranny)

          haha i like ur style u dont bitch at all... i always hear noise/ruff for all these stiffer parts theyre really not that bad so if ur young go for it but if u dont wanna deal wit the noise just harden the fuck up imo but to each his own :)

            i'm young and there's some noise i rather not deal with, so that's why i went rubber tranny mounts and poly engine mounts

              hey guys, how do you know if your mounts are to be changed? if they failed, and what about the homemade honda style poly bushings?

                Failed engine mounts can let your engine rotate far beyond acceptable limits. A failed Engine Mount will usually allow contact between the fan and the fan shroud.

                No idea what to say about the last part.

                  When your oil pan is resting on the crossmember because your mounts have collapsed. Or you put a jack under the motor or transmission, lift up slightly, and you see the mount separate where it's been sheared in half. That's a rather crude example of a few ways you can tell.
                  The current fleet:
                  1992 325ic: 148k-171k miles
                  1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4WD, 114k-142k miles
                  1984 MasterCraft Stars and Stripes Powerslot (not a car :D) PCM Ford 351W, 904 hours
