    M42 guys, Need your help

Hey guys, I'm getting down to the last bits of my M30 swap. I have what looks like a fuel line, just plugged by a bolt (done by PO).

Pictures show you where its located. This really looks like another fuel line but it doesn't follow the same path (not in the same line as the others all the way back, closer to the outside of the car) and cuts up above the tank under the rear drivers side passenger.

    Any clue what this is?

    Thanks
    DJ

The pics are a little out of reference...

But I'm pretty sure that is the vapor line off the purge canister

Okay thats what I have been looking for. The canister (I belive its the charcoal canister) on the M30 has a tube for "fumes" to go to but the one on this car has no nipples for any kind of tubes.

So is this the M42 way of getting rid of the fumes?

--and sorry about the pics but thats really the best pics I could get at the moment. I have the inlet fuel line and the outlet fuel line but this is another that comes out right beside both

The m30 charcoal canister has an 8mm (to the tank vent) and a 3mm nipple (to the IM at the bottom).

The M42s system was a bit more advanced having an ecu controlled purge valve

So is this okay to block off. Actually, can I run this hose from pictured spot too....

                Hmmm,

Plugging it off isn't such a good idea.

Yes I think (not sure...Having yet another 40 year old plus memory thing going on)
That is the evap purge line...should have canister involved though..

Is the canister just an in and out line on the M42?

Also, is this for evaps in the tank or from the motor? The black piece in the imageshack image runs to the charcoal canister...which I though was for fumes from the motor(M30). maybe not?

not it's to burn the fumes off from the tank.

Yeah... I don't think the tank would pop, but....

No, I would just be worried about the gases building up.
