    '94 engine into a '91?

It is my understanding that the '94 318is also has the M42. Are there any major differences?

    Belts are different.

    Use your wiring harness too.

use your 91 oilpan and pump too or she wont fit, consider it a good long block. You cant use serpentine belt either cuz your wiring wont work, gotta use the old style pulleys

Yea ok, so can I buy all of the OP's unused serpentine parts for like $10 plus shipping?

I helped a buddy convert his v-belts to serpentine on his m42, was pretty much plug and play.

          Serpentine belts work fine.

so what exactly is needed to switch over from the 91 318 to get the e36 318 motor in the e30? im looking at replacing the m42 in my 91 318is but the motor im looking at is from a 95 318 and the intake manifold is different on the e36.
