A BMW drive shaft would be nice, but I don't know if it is the best option. A re-manufactured unit from Driveline Service of Portland might be better. The U-joints have grease zerks installed so you can lubricate it, and they are more affordable.
Both would work well, it just depends on how much you want to spend on one.

i understand how aftermarket rebuilds work. ive done my research. here in canada, it will cost me roughly 400$ for a rebuild, which doesnt include guibo, center bearing, pilot bushings, bolts, nuts, etc.
im looking more for info on an OEM replacement, what it includes, and exactly what it is. if it includes everything, i might be willing to pay a lil more for a new OEM part vs a questionable rebuild.
I've used many, they do come with a flex disc etc. Pretty much the way we do it at the shop.

good to know. are they new or rebuilt from bmw? do you have to give your core?
New (so far) no core, it has been at least a year since I've done one on an e30, don't know if anything has changed (doubt it would change because it was BMW that said the U joints weren't replaceable in the first place).
