How strong?

how strong is our 5 speeds?


would 300 horse power be too much? (I hope to build a turbo M20B27 in the near future)
and say a certain lady friend grinded 3rd gear for a split second (I thought I could teach her how to drive a stick...) would that be a very alarming thing? or just something to keep an eye on?

you need to worry about the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel before you think about the tranny. the easier that power is transferred, the better. the tranny will be fine. if you or your lady friend are constantly grinding gears then that may be a diferent situation. I grind a gear on occasion and its not horrible for the tranny. Obviously its not good but if it happens every once in a while then dont worry about it.
