Tranny doesn't want to go back on...

So a while ago I lost my last 240 to my 24v swapped car and I decided to go w/ the 250 for now. I've been really busy but now that I have time to get it all back together, the trans won't go all the way on. It gets to about 1/2" from the block and there it rests. It doesn't want to go on anymore and it won't back off.

I know there has to be something thats not right. Anyone else run into this? I'm bout to push the car off a cliff ;)

    clutch disc nice and centered?

you have the right throw out bearing/clutch/flywheel setup?

    right diameter pilot bearing?

the latter may be your issue but there are a few things that could be your issue

          yup..

its a sprung clutch. Although when I replace this clutch I don't think I'm gonna use a sprung clutch again.

I would double check your clutch plate alignment, center it again and see what happens.

yeah I think its gonna come back off tomorrow...

I'm tempted to pull the motor to put my e36 rack on and a new subframe. But I just want to get it back on the ground asap more than anything.

I hope you don't have the transmission resting on its input shaft...

You might want to get a clutch aligning tool!

Stupid thing but also check if maybe the transmission has a alignment pin in the same area as the engine block where they meet. This happened to me when I was putting my 240 up to my m50.
