Question About Installing E21 Tranny Mounts

I read that I need to make the opening in the crossmember and trans mounting fork-like slot wider to accommodate the thickness of the studs on the E21 mounts (which I verified, though some claim not needing to do any modifications whatsoever). So, I did that but now I need to know if the E21 mounts need to be notched at all to clear the little tabs that stick up on the crossmember.


What say you, or wise forum?

Update: For anyone who might find this useful down the road, I did end up notching the mounts to clear the tabs. I used a dremel and it only took about 10 minutes. To see the notches I am referring to, you can look up the urethane mounts sold on the UUC site. Theirs have them incorporated into the design already.
