    Grind down my Flywheel???

Hey guys, I just pulled my tranny off of my 325i for a clutch replacement, and also want to replace the main seal to stop that dirty oil leaking, and it looks like I got a singlemass flywheel on there (I'm not sure how rare are the singlemass flywheels) So now Im looking to find a machine shop here in Seattle area to get my flywheel resurfaced to get it lighter and balanced. Please let me know. Also any suggestions on the clutch? I want something NOT STOCK. I want to go turbo ;)

All of the 325i's have single mass flywheels. Your machine shop can safely machine them down at least to 12 lbs., and beyond that it is up to their confidence.

As for the clutch, honestly if I were going turbo I'd just upgrade to a 240mm E36 M3 lightweight flywheel with a Sachs Sport clutch/pressure plate (or tougher, depending on what kind of pedal feel you want). I've seen the OEM 228mm Sachs clutches handle 350+ hp from M20 turbo's before though.. just depends on what you want and what you've got to spend.
