I think my center support seized and ripped apart.

I heard a huge clunk than clunk clunk clunk and had my car flatbeded home. I can hear the driveshaft resting on the heatshield. Without removing the exhaust I think the center support seized up and ripped apart and now is turning with the driveshaft. This distruction also took out my guibo. My question, is should I get a whole knew driveshaft? or just replace the center support and guibo?

From what everybody says the main cause of a bad CSB is bad u-joints, and I am sorry to inform you but those u-joints are not replaceable. I found replacements for my car but couldnt find anyone to put them in. I took the shaft to a machine shop and a clutch and driveline shop and neither would do it. The clutch and driveline shop whacked on the shaft and smoothed the notchyness in the joint so I just replaced the CSB and put the old shaft back in, with the new guibo. Good luck with that!

Where's a good place to buy a new driveshaft?

Your dealer, Pelican Parts, etc are all sources of a new drive shaft. Rebuilt drive shafts are available from a number of places, Bimmerworld being one close to you.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

BavAuto also has them.. I was looking over the past few days for one, but ended up not needing one yet.

If you get a rebuilt one, see if you can find a place that does some type of warranty. I ended up not getting a driveshaft, but the shop down the street from me has a supplier that sells rebuilt ones for just over 500 and the guy at the shop said "If it goes in two years, bring it back and I'll put the new one in for free"
