Does the E34 4HP22 fit the E30?

The donor is a 90 535i with an M20. The recipient is an 89 4-door 325i.
Real OEM shows a different part number.
The transmission shop does not know.

My tranny failed on my E30 and a 5-speed swap is not an option. (Long story.) There is a 90 525i with a good tranny being parted out.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pierre, doesn't the E34 have a transmission ECU? That alone would mean HUGE changes in wiring, but if I wanted an auto E30, that is the one I would go with.
