    Replacing the guibo

I was wondering if there is any way to replace the guibo without dropping the diff or dropping the Cat.
Ii is not that bad to drop the diff but is a pain in the ass to do on my own.

I got mine out without dropping either, but it was a real battle. Some brute force required.

How do you get the drive shaft separated from the tranny, i do not have enough room to slide the drive shaft of that 2 inch rod protruding from the transmission.

Have you loosened the clamp just aft of the CSB? That will allow the DS to slide back a bit on its splines to buy you some wiggle room. You also have to unbolt the CSB itself to allow the DS to hinge a bit. I quite frankly have no idea how I got it all the way out. took a lot of persuasion, wiggling, pulling, etc. to get it out. Quite the battle. I didn't have a choice since my exhaust is essentially non-removable without air tools. Almost took out the Sawzall on this one, but perseverance won in the end.

Well at this point since catback is already out, i will just drop the diff, I think it would be easier that the knuckle bashing you are describing.

^^^i agree. i unbolted the headers and moved my exhaust to the side. took off the tranny mount and held it up with a jack and that was all. instant access. i did have to unbolt he csb to get it back in properly though. didnt take long at all.
