Overhauling the Getrag "i" transmission

I looked over a lot of the Metric Mechanic web site and was very impressed. They came from autocross and this gives me a lot of confidence that they understand the reasoning behind why i want to rebuild my transmission rather than buy a used one. I will be talking with them about rebuilding my own transmission but im also conflicted because there mods would push me out of my current class. However, everything i have done to my car has been to make it more fun to drive and more durable so maybe it's time to reclass again.

The shift linkages are notorious for causing gross shifting issues that can seem like syncho issues, not going into gear, etc. If you replace those bushings with new or poly, that may fix the issues without cracking open the transmission.
