e30 diff questions..

well i recently destroyed my ring and pinion... i assume more damage was made inside as well so i am just trying to find a rear center section to swap out.

will any z3 rear work? what about e36 rears? anything else? i am hoping to find one asap, at this point i am not too worried about open or lsd currently but would reallly rather lsd.

Z3's will work, NOT E36's. Plenty of them out there in various ratios, I picked one up for under $200 with the Torsen LSD...

Z3 should work fine, may have to swap the rear output flanges with your old diff. E36 will not work without essentially disassembling and reassembling the whole thing.

Do you know what ration you want? 4.10's go for considerably more and 2.93's are generally the most common and go for $200ish...3.15's, 3.25's, & 3.73's normally fetch a little more than that.

Normally the rear ends go for 65ish there, I went in my dealer tech uniform so they sold it for 40ish and they are having a half off sale yestorday and the next 2 days
