Yet another diff. question

Half of what I read says my 323i has a small case differential and the other half says it's a medium case. I've searched and searched without being able to say for sure.

I want a 4.XX LSD and have no idea what cars to look for in the junk yards.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

a 4.10lsd (small case) was an option on the 318is, so check those. im not positive but i think they are also on the e30 m3 and 325ix

Your 323 should have a medium (sometimes referred to as large) case differential.

You would want a 4.10 LSD from an M3 or automatic 325iS.
