I was wondering why people call them autotragic. I have owned an auto for 4 years and not a single time have I had any problems. It has 109xxx k on it an it still is going strong. Can some1 clarify this for me thanks

It's because of the horsepower loss that occurs with autos as compared to manuals as well as the shorter life span. These aren't nearly as bad as automatic transmissions on other makes, but I think the perception is that they put you "out of touch" with what's happening with the car.
My DD is a 325ic with an automagic (another less derogatory name?) with 200+ on it. Some people gave me shit about it when I bought it, but they're idiots. I sit in bumper to bumper traffic that moves between 5 and 40 mph for 30 to 45 minutes. Driving a 6 speed manual (my previous DD) in that SUCKED. Now that I don't have to mess with shifting, I can focus on new and creative ways to express my road rage.sigpic -
206k on mine, and still shifts like new.

Those links are dead. Also what do these kits do and what kits do you guys have? And if your transmission isn't experiencing any slippage are these kits still fine to get?
