Is this normal? Internal Differential Question

Putting fresh seals in the small case 4.10 lsd today and noticed when I pulled the lsd unit out that there is a bent fin on the oil slinger device Could anyone confirm if this is abnormal or normal?

Thanks, I bent it back to normal. Got it all put back together with new seals. Just need to finish sandblasting and painting the output flanges.
