Difference between 4 and 6 cylinder driveshaft

I have a 91 318is that needs a new driveshaft, but I cannot find any 318is donors in my area. Will a 325i driveshaft fit, or a 84-85 318i driveshaft? As I remember the m10 and the m42 e30s use the same tranny. Thanks

the front section of drive shaft for m20 is shorter

I think an early 318 shaft would work but you need to replace the csb as the eary and late csb's are different
