    Clutch/swap Qs

    Here is the lay out:

I am doing a 5 speed swap on my Brother's '89 Vert. I got a 260GR out of an '86 325e. It is a duel mass flywheel, so I am using the single mass from my other 260GR. I am going with this:

Reason being is the tranny is out of a 325e but matting to a 325i. I am 98% sure this is what is needed. I just wanted to know before I have him buy it.

I was just kinda lost on what clutch kit to get for the SM flywheel. Because when I looked at it the DM pressure plate it thinner than the SM one. I just thought match the clutch kit with the fly and I should be home free.

P.S. The GripForce clutch ebay kit is great, a friend of mine on here it using one for his M50 swap. Plus it is 1/2 the cost of a sachs stock kit.

The right clutch is a function of what flywheel you use, not the transmission. For a single mass flywheel you need a clutch for an 87 (or later) 325i or 325is.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
