    Does a g260 bolt up?? to a m42

Title says it all. My m42 needs a trans. I've heard od swapping a the SM FW from the m20 g260 into the m42's 240, BUT i'm now wondering IF I can just use an entire 260 on the m42????

it will bolt up, but you will need to use a different driveshaft

It will bolt up to the M42, but IIRC the slant angle between the M42 and M20 (and therefore the 240 and 260) doesn't match up. If you really want to do this, you may need to twist your selector rod and get a modified trans brace (or try different length trans mounts).
