    transmission kick down switch

    1988 bmw 325.
when i drive this car is fine no issues.but after i noticed a switch under my gas pedal it got me trippin to see what that switch does.so i google it and found out its the kick down switch (autos only)anyways its a switch for when you floor it all the way down the pedal will hit the switch and tell the tranny to shift down to the lowest gear possible with out hitting the redline.

so the problem iam having is driving normal is fine even when i step on the pedal all the way down is cool, but when i step on the pedal all the way down hitting the switch the car would just choke.any ideas?

That could be a fuel delivery problem, bad TPS, or bad AFM.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

FYI, that isn't a switch but just a detent. This kickdown is in the cable going from the throttle body to the trans.
