I used one as a frisbee once, it was the worst frisbee ever.
I am not normally one to jump up and slit someones throat for not going with OEM parts but a clutch kit is one item that I would definitely go OEM with. I have heard a lot of stories of other clutches (parts store brands) only lasting 20k miles
I have been planning on using Sachs for my replacement. I ask because I found a deal with the PP (sachs), disc and a bunch of other stuff I already have for fairly good price. The only exception is that it is a Valeo disc and not a Sachs so this is why I ask. If the response is "throat slitting" like i totally expect on R3V :) then I will go ahead with the Sachs. If I herd that they are just as good then I would be saving money.
so lets hear it, I want more frisbee stories
got a Beck/Arnley kit for my 86 ES, paid $92 for the whole thing, disc, pp, bearing. the exact same thing with Sachs listing went for $275.
every part of the B/A kit has a sachs name and part number stamped on it.
