New or rebuilt E30 Transmission?

New to the forums.

I just bought a 1988 E30. It needs a new transmission or a complete rebuild. Best place to get a new tranny - or should I just have it rebuilt? Either way... in west hollywood CA and looking for my best places of references for this sorta stuff.

just buy a used one and swap.
