top trans bolt broke on 87 325is

Ok so i was trying to take out the trans on me e30 and the top bolt on the driver side broke, and its still holding the trans on. What is the best way to get it out? pull the motor up and cut the rest of the head off or what?

    suggestions would be great. Thanks.

If the head broke off the bolt and it's just a stud holding it on, why not just pry the tranny off the engine at the seam?

Removing the stud will be a bitch. These things are made from basically the hardest bolt you can buy. You'll probably use every method you can read, mixed with a bit of creativity, before you can remove it (assuming something to bite on is still there). Depending on whether or not your a perfectionist and if the car is worth it, it just might not be worth removing. If it's a small bolt tranny bolt, even less worry.
