    Rear suspension/ Diff problem

I was doing rear suspension, my axle backed out while lugging it to a table, looks like there is a ring clip inside that holds it in. How Do I go about getting the axle back in? Can i like hammer it in softly with a rubber mallet and a block of wood??? or Do i have to take everything off?

    Please leave feedback below, thanks

present the stub to the diff. Rotate the driveshaft till you feel a little meshing that indicates that the splines are not butting , and slip the drive axle into the diff.

+1 you didn't do anything incorrectly matt. it just came out. it should slide right back in with the splines lined up correctly

I purposely had this posted in General so more people would see it. Can you move it back? Hardly anyone visits this area

you could also just pop it in without doing the new seals as per the PM. if it starts leaking, then redo it with new seals.
