    new DS...a problem

So I just replaced my drive shaft, guibo, tanny mounts, and csb. the motor mounts are good.
    I preloaded the csb.
Now I have a slight vibration under the e-brake from 0-40 under accel.
i think maybe if I preloaded the csb and it tilted slightly? Maybe the nut between the two shaft halves isn't tight enough?
    any suggestions?

I think the first thing I'd suspect in this case would be the drive shaft.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I realize it is new, but even new parts can be bad.

Or not assembled and installed in the same orientation as they were balanced in.

i am guessing it was shipped in 2 pieces. if so, you need to assemble it w/ the ujoints in the same orientation so to speek. so the non moving part of the joints are facing the same way. even then you have a 50% chance of having it backwards. there should have been a mark on each of the ajoining ends to show where they where disasembled.

There is no U-joints on an E30 shaft, it is the mid bushing that keeps the spindle where it slides apart spinning even. Slide under your car and take the panel down a bit and see if the bushing is any good.

I am sorry, I have been on stupid American trucks all day today. I forgot that the front and rear of the shafts have u-joints. But unlike trucks, BMW uses a center spindle and CSB. That is what I was meaning, the CSB is the issue as it sounds. Or the output shaft gimbo.

I did not word it correctly, the U-jount should not cause an issue like on American cars.
