    E34 Clutch master cylinder work?

My clutch master cylinder is starting to go. Everything else in the clutch system has been replaced in the past year, this is the only thing I haven't done yet. Transmission is fighting to go into gear, sometimes kicking me out of gear, and pedal feels/sounds bad (have to pump it up to get a good pedal feel in the morning)

I went to order a new one at work, and a guy I work with did an auto-to-manual swap on his E34, and offered me the clutch master cylinder he got when he ordered his (he bought a new one just because, he said he's pretty sure there's no issues with this one).

Want to know if anyone knows if it will work? I know the part numbers are different, but I found a picture of an E30 clutch master cylinder and they look identical. Anyone have any experience? Gonna give it a try tonight.

For the record, I'm not trying this to be cheap, not afraid to spend the money, but if it works, you can't beat free!
