    UUC shifter bushing

Here is what I am using:

    Z4 shifter
    UUC shifter ball bushing upgrade

I cannot get the selector part of the shifter through the UUC replacement ploy bushing. I was told the Z4 shifter would work just fine with this upgrade.

I tried clamping the end of the shifter and tenderly tapping the bushing over the selector end of the shifter to get it on. All it did was bounce so I thought to ask if anyone is using this at the moment. I would have called UUC but it is Sunday and tomorrow is Labor Day. I just don't want to rush it just to end up fucking the bushing up. Did UUC give me the wrong one?

Another thing, how is the top of the shifter held down? with the OEM cup it has a basket design. The UUC one has just a bottom poly bushing that is cupped to seat the shifter ball.

    Here is pictures:

Are they like the OEM ones? Because this takes a solid cupped bushing to seat the ball. I have two new ones with the 4 cuts, they are about double the height as the UUC one that allows me to use the UUC stuff.

If it is OEM then it won't work, I think I just need to shoot Rob a message. Forgot his email...

yes they are the oem ones. I just installed an evo3 UUC shifter in my turbo car and I thought I compared them side by side and were the same. I may be wrong though

I tried using the OEM bushing when I was stumped on how the poly one from UUC went in. It was WAY too tall, I think Rob can solve this as soon as he sees the setup I am running. It might just be the wrong size cut out, or I need to force it Blunt style.

              Issue solved:

Ground the Z4 end down a bit to fit the bushing over. Then called Rob at UUC and pulled my order and saw that it was missing the other bushing and spring. He has sent it out no charge.

Rob is awesome! Even though it was ment to have the other parts he made the wrong right without any trouble.

I can't complain about the customer service with UUC and Rob, they've been pretty good. But, I ordered a race shifter on May 3 and it is still on back order..

Same thing happened to my Koni shocks for my brothers cabby from tire rack. Parts get on back order, but the guys at UUC are legit and honest.
