need help asap

Okay so my car wont go into gear with car on. But when off it goes right in. If i start the car with it in gear it makes all sorts of weird noises and im just stuck. Please help

When you start it in gear, with your foot on the clutch, does it stay running? And if so does it move with your foot on the clutch or does it sit still?

it stays running. and when i was sitting in the drive way with clutch in and the car running it felt like i was trying to go forward

Has anything been done to the car recently? Sounds like your clutch slave cylinder went tits up.

well i went to put a new clutch and flywheel in and did. but something didnt sound right with that being done so i went and put the old stuff back in. The slave that was on there before wasnt pressurizing at all so we put a new one on and its pressurized but now the car is being all funky

Have you driven it at all since you put the old clutch back in? If not, either you have a bad slave, or your clutch disc it backwards by the sounds of it.

well i was stupid enough to take the new pressure plate and put it on with the old clutch, which seems like it would be a problem in my book. but im not quite sure

Sounds like the slave, the old pressure plate should be just fine. I am running an OEM plate and having no issues.

sounds like you need to go to a mechanic instead of DIY
