    G260 from a 325e into 325i. direct fit?

I know about the crank reference sensor in the 325e bellhousing so I know that is one difference on the 325e G260 as compared to the 325i G260. Is there anything else different about them that would need changing or modification (driveshaft length, bellhousing length etc) to put a 325e trans into a 325i?

In addition to the timing sensors, early 325e Getrags will only accept the sheet metal shift console. Other that those two items the transmissions are interchangeable.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

you have to change out the output flange on the e trans to an "i" flange. be sure to follow the tourque sequence for the flange. If you put it on with an air gun you will kill the trans.
