    tick from the guibo...help please

Hey ya'll, just put a new ds and guibo in the car abour two weeks ago. yesterday i noticed i ticking noise, it sounds like metal to metal and is just loud enough to be noticed. what would cause this. I jacked the car up a minute ago and the noise is coming from the guibo tranny area. The tick is only present while off the gas pedal at slower speeds thanks

Check to see if the guibo bolts are hitting the transmission case. If so there will be a shinny spot on the case.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I just looked, it looks like there is something is hitting the drive shaft flanges. there about quarter inch nics in all three. i also ensured the guibo was in correctly, it was. but i think the bolts are wrong, the nut is tightened on the flange side instead of tightening on the guibo, if that made sense. would that maybe cause it?

Dunno. Flip them around and see if it helps.

You can pull the bolts and put a washer under each bolt head, or take a couple of threads worth off each of the bolts (what I do). I've seen this before and my guess is that the replacement quibo is a bit thinner than the original.

Check and see if your e-brake cable is dangling down because it came off the mounting tabs or just has alot of slack in it. That was my problem and it was driving me fucking insane. So I just tightened the e-brake cables and problem solved.

found the problem. the bolts running into the transmission flanges were running opposite the ones from the driveshaft flanges. Idk if it was a balance issue or what but problem solved, thanks
