    X5 3.0 Shift Lever - E30 24v

Thought some of you might want to see this. I just installed it and I'm in love.

It's perfect, its a tad shorter than the Z3 1.9 Lever but not even close to being as knotchy as the Z4 levers are. Its a good 1" - 1.5" taller than the Z3 lever. I also have the UUC double shear rod installed so everything is nicely weighted now. Also, I had to shave down the area where the lever slides into the uuc rod because it was slightly wider than the Z3, you should be able to see it in the pics above.

It'll be a hoot on the track!

*EDIT* This was back when I had the G250. With the ZF320 the throw's are quite different.

That bend looks crazy but the throws look nice. Might give that a try.

Yeh the bend looks aggressive but its not that bad once installed. I can take a pic of it installed as well.

Just drove dude8383's car and its AWESOME!!! Throw is super short, even when comparing to his old 1.9. Its a bit tall for my liking, but will be AWESOME for track. Good job man

Yep. It takes some getting used to but it's super comfortable.

            What transmission are you running?

Getrag 250, with an extended shift arm that came from a ZF 320 box. It's right about the same in terms of length as the one that comes with the getrag 250 box.

My friend also has this very same setup on his 318i sedan. Once we swap the motor on his car I can take a video of the travel. Won't be for a while though.

Do you think i would get the same results with an m50 g260? My reverse is hitting the console with an e36 m3 lever.

To be honest I'm not sure...maybe someone local to you has one that you could try out?

The lever was $67.15 plus $6 shipping from BMA.

                        Z3M stick FTMFW!!

notchy as hell but i added wheel weights around the selector rod for most of the length of the rod and thats sorted out the notchyness.

i do like the idea of the X5 lever being taller for easier grab but dunno if id give up my Z3M for one tho..

                        Currently E30-less
