diff questions 318is

Ok guys I'm getting ready to change out my diff/cv shafts and wanted to double check on some things. Currently my 318is has an open 4.10 and needs new half shafts, so I figure I'll put in a lsd. So I've done some research and come up with, either swap in a small case lsd, preferable 4.10 but could be 3.73 not a huge difference in either, with new 318 cv shafts OR get a 4.10 or similar out of a 325is (medium case and easier to find) and put new 3.25 cv shafts in, and install with no issues. Can somebody double check me before I make the leap and buy a ton of parts?

i'd go medium case just because of availability and it "seems" stronger to me anyway....

small case 318i vs medium case 325i.

1991 325iC - Mauritsblau sumthin metallic blue. DEAD
