How to Remove a Stripped Transmission Drain Plug

So I was about to change my tranny fluid for the first time and I found out that someone had stripped out the drain plug. I went to the store to see if I could find an 18 mm allen wrench that I could jam in there, but I haven't been able to find one. Any other ideas how I can get it out?

Also, where can I get a replacement plug? I searched and read that someone makes a plug for the Getrag 260 that accepts a 17 mm socket rather than an allen wrench, but I can't find one anywhere online. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have welded a stub of 17mm hex to a drain plug before to get it out.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Great idea, but unfortunately I don't have access to a welder nor the skills to use one. Think I can take it to a muffler shop and have them do it?

Is the drain or fill plug stripped?

The fill plug is difficult to access, while it's easy to put a slot into the drain plug. Or use a small chisel and hammer to tap it loose.

It's the drain plug. What do you mean by putting a slot in? Like a slotted screwdriver?
