Weird noise while in Reverse

Little over a week ago my car randomly started squealing when I throw it into reverse. It's an 87 5 speed 325e and it sounds like the noise is coming from the rear passenger side. The sound is horrible, sounds like screeching against a chalkboard.. any ideas? (Almost sounds like extremely worn down brake pads touching metal on metal)

Pull the hub and check for damage to the parking brake mechanism.
