    Hard/er Shifting Issue

I have been wanting to get this figured out for a while now, I suspect something may be wrong with the hydraulics? When the car is off the shifter shifts perfectly in each and every gear smoothly, but when the car is actually running it does not feel the same, changing gears feels very clunky and harder to get into gears. What may be causing this? Tranny was flushed with redline about 5 months ago, no difference at all. Does the system have to bled?

I've noticed that it feels easier to change gears in higher revs like between 3.5-4k, but when driving slowly and changing around 2.5k is when I notice it more.

I have driven 3 of my friends e30's and none feel like mine. Two are m20s and one is a m42.

    Thanks for the advice.

Have you checked your brake fluid?

It sounds to me like the clutch isn't fulling disengaging. That can be a problem with the clutch hydraulics, or it can be due to a worn out clutch. You should get under the car and check for leaks at the slave cylinder and lines. If no leaks there, you could bleed the system. But in the absence of recent work on the clutch hydraulics or brake system there isn't likely to be air in the system. The next step would be to replace the clutch master cylinder. It can leak back into the reservoir and thus not present external evidence of its failure.

If none of that helps, the problem will be inside the bell housing.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

        Thanks for the response,
Brake fluid is always full and has been bled many times, never bled the clutch hydraulics though..

          Thanks for the response,
It feels as if the clutch is not completely disengaging, I think this may the issue, or feels exactly like it. I will try to bleed it and check out underneath like you suggested and see if there is any evidence of leakage.
